How Favorites Work

Save once. Look them up later — on your profile or with a one-word WhatsApp message or voice note.

1

Add Favorites

Use the web form on your Favorites page or send a short WhatsApp message / voice note like “Add Keens Steakhouse NYC to restaurants.” Voice and text shares are reviewed as favorites.

Web submissions are saved immediately. All favorites, including sent via WhatsApp, start as private until you choose otherwise.

2

Control Visibility

Each favorite can be Only Me or Default. Separately, set who sees Default favorites on your profile: everyone, only people you follow, or nobody.

Only Me items never appear on your public profile.

3

Query On The Go

Out with friends? Text a single word to WhatsApp e.g. restaurants, movies, hotels or favorites and get your latest list back... plus the link to your full profile.

Send more or next to keep paging through a category.

Shown On Your Public Page

Default favorites that you’ve set as visible appear on your public profile as a favorites count. Visitors can open the list from there. Only Me items stay hidden, and your profile privacy setting decides who can see the Default list.

Why Keep Favorites Here?

Built for real life — dinner plans, travel chats, and “what should we watch?”

Capture In The Moment

Add from the web form or WhatsApp text and voice. No hunting through notes apps later.

One-Word Lookups

Send restaurants or movies and get your list back on WhatsApp when you need it most.

🔒

Two Layers Of Privacy

Per-item Only Me vs Default, plus a profile setting for who can see Default favorites.

💼

Lives On Your Profile

Shareable favorites sit beside your referrals and recommendations so visitors see what you love.

🎯

Categories That Match Life

Food, movies, travel, music, podcasts, books and more — filter on web or query by name on WhatsApp.

🎉

Free To Use

Save as many as you like and query your lists whenever you need them. Link WhatsApp once and you’re set.

You Control What Others See

Only Me favorites stay on your private list — they never show on your public profile. Default favorites follow your Visibility Default setting (Public, Only People I Follow, or Private). WhatsApp additions start as Only Me so nothing goes public until you decide.

Favorites FAQs

How adding, privacy and WhatsApp queries work together.

How do I add a favorite on the web?

Open Everyday Favorites from your dashboard, tap Add Favorite, and fill in the title, category and optional details. Web favorites go live immediately with the visibility you choose.

With WhatsApp linked, send a short message or voice note describing what to save (for example “Add Keens Steakhouse NYC to restaurants”). We treat text and voice notes as favorites for review. WhatsApp favorites start as Only Me until you change them on the web.

Send a single word to the ReferralCodes WhatsApp inbox. Use favorites for everything, or a category such as movies, restaurants, travel, hotels, podcasts, books or music. We reply with your latest items (newest first). Send more or next to continue paging.

Query: the whole message must be one reserved word (punctuation is fine), e.g. movies or Restaurants!. If the message has more than one word — like “add Goodfellas to my movies” — we treat it as something new to save, not a lookup.

Each favorite is Only Me (never on your public profile) or Default. Your Visibility Default setting then decides who can see Default favorites: Public, Only People I Follow, or Private. Change it from the Favorites page gear control or in profile settings.

On your public profile, visitors who are allowed by your Visibility Default see a favorites count and can open the list of active Default favorites. Only Me items and inactive items are excluded.

No — you can manage everything on the web. Linking WhatsApp unlocks add-by-message and one-word lookups. See the WhatsApp helper page to connect in about 10 seconds.
