You choose what type of investor you want to be, from cautious to adventurous or something in-between, and they'll build you an investment plan and manage it for you. They charge a small annual fee for managing your investments. They are similar to Robinhood, Trading212, InvestEngine, Wealthyhood, Freetrade, etc. Choose your plan. Deposit at least £1000 and remain invested for at least 6 months. Okay so listen, I don't really get investing. I thought ETFs were some kind of printer ink and I still don’t fully understand what a portfolio is—feels like something a wizard would carry around full of scrolls and debt. But Wealthify was like “Give us £1000, go live your life for 6 months, and we’ll give you £50 for your trouble.” And I said, “Yes, mysterious financial entity, take my money and do what you will.” I picked a risk level based entirely on vibes (I think I chose ‘adventurous’ because it sounded spicy) and now I just check the app every few days like I’m monitoring a Tamagotchi that might turn into a Lamborghini. I don’t really know what’s happening in there—there are graphs and numbers and it all looks very official—but my money hasn’t vanished and occasionally it goes up a bit and I pretend it’s because I’m a genius. Also the £50 bonus? Absolute legend move. It’s like someone handing you a fiver for not touching the biscuit tin. Overall, Wealthify makes me feel like I’m investing when really I’m just loitering near the stock market with good intentions and a snack. 11/10 would recommend to fellow confused people who want to feel smart without learning anything.
